EIC'S RESEARCH:

EIC volunteers believe incorporation is the right choice for Edgemont, and these discussions are the results of our research and analysis. We encourage you to read our analyses of the issues, conduct your own research, contribute to the conversation, and make your own decision. See links below for Terms of Use.

As discussed under the pool section of this website, Edgemont may lose access to the Anthony F. Veteran (AFV) pool;. However, like the existing six Greenburgh villages, Edgemont would have access to:

  • The indoor pool at the Theodore D. Young Community Center (TDYCC), which is open Town-wide;

  • The outdoor pool at Massaro Park, which is open Town-wide;

  • All Greenburgh Parks and Recreation facilities (other than AFV) which are open Town-wide;

  • TDYCC and Greenburgh Parks sports leagues and senior activities, all of which are open Town-wide (certain programs cost slightly more for village residents—see below); and

  • All Westchester County pools and parks.

Some programs prioritize unincorporated area residents and allow village and non-Greenburgh residents to participate if space allows. If Edgemont incorporates, pricing of some programs may be at the higher (non-resident) levels.
